Site Still Under Construction!

My name is Brian and I have a vision of black unity. I am 23 years old and I currently live in Wisconsin, but I was born raised and lived in New York City until the summer of 2005.

I had to leave NYC because of the high cost of living and lack of decent paying jobs, along with the fact that genuinely good job training is nearly impossible to get. The city of New York is a very diverse place but it has more than its share of discrimination when it comes to housing and employment.

It Is my observation that any other group (besides African Americans) can set up a business in a Black area and make money from black consumers. These business owners never put a dime back into the communities that support their businesses, and don’t show any amount of respect for the people who live in these communities. I often wonder what if we black people owned these businesses that capitalize on us, and what if we used our wealth to supported the community like the Tribes of our ancestors once, did before slavery and African colonization. This site is a tool for those Black individuals who are willing to come together and build a foundation to sustain our people and make it possible for us to make progress in today's world.

Big City VS. Small Town for a Black man

Here are the simple facts: in the big cities, where most Black people live the cost of living is very high, and in small town that have a low cost of living Black people have to deal with discrimination and racism. While I lived in New York City I tried to get a good job but with only just a G.E.D. not many opportunities were open to me. Now their are many jobs in NYC that don’t require a college degree, but the chances of getting one of those jobs are not high. The large number of people, the high rent combined with discriminatory hiring policies make living in a city like New York very hard for a black person.

In places where the cost of living is low Black people have an extremely hard time cutting through the stereotypes, fear, and racism. Finding a job in these predominantly white areas is hard for an African American. I'm not saying that all white people in these areas, (or in any area) are racist, but the racist mentality is strong in small most towns.

One of the goals of this Tribe is to [I know that this part is far out, but I think it may be possible with a strong organization] try to create, found or build a SAFE "Black friendly" town in one of these low cost locations.

Manifesto NOT FINISHED

This Tribe is here to give Black People a chance to survive and thrive in a world that (do to capitalism) is as much like the wilderness as were the wild savannas in Africa that our ancestors once dwelled before building great civilizations. It is my theory that if we Black people combined our recourses and skills with each other in one cooperative union we could become truly become self-sufficient. True freedom can only come to people who are self-sufficient and together we can form the means for economic and social liberation. As we live as individuals in this capitalist society we could not possibly expect our people to make any progress because we have to compete with each other and the rest of the world. This tribe is socialist in structure and has Afro-centric guiding principles. This Tribe operates by combining the money, labor, skills, and other resources of it’s members to create a support system for all it’s people. This support system will be available to all Tribesmen and Tribeswomen equally to PROVIDE them with the means to survive (like food and shelter), and Give them the tools to advance passed their current position in life (like free job training, education, money for business, ect.)

This tribe has no need to be militant or a vanguard. It is, or will be to the public (outside of the tribe) a social organization sponsored by private businesses. Rather than march and draw the attention of onlookers to advance our cause we will cut passed the activism and get right to action. We will use the capitalist own structure to gain funds for our cause, and by utilizing the rights rightfully given to us through the civil rights movement we will develop a nearly (if not completely) self sustaining organization. Several businesses will be owned by the Tribe and all of its members equally (to protect against anyone member from having to much control of it’s funds) in one company. This company’s profits will be the property of the Tribe as a whole, and will be put to use for the good of the Tribe. Any funds belonging to the Tribe will be controlled by individuals appointed Tribe’s people.

Capitalism forces us Black people to compete for employment education and all the other resources needed to make a living in this world. Unlike some other groups we have to contend with racism and fear while trying to stay alive. The Tribe will help its people cooperate for employment, and other resources rather than compete for these things when possible.
